Is it possible for a separate character account to lag more than others?
So i made a new character, but after awhile of playing it, I noticed the game seemed more sluggish and laggish. I then switched to my other characters to see if it was happening to them too, but the gameplay was more smooth with them. So I was wondering if a separate character could lag more than others. If so, I don't want to go any further with that character and start over so I can play it more smoothly.

Maybe it is just the area you were in? Or the amount of people there? I don't think it is just the character.

Well, I browsed around with each character for a couple minutes, going to different towns and and traveling around. However, that character seemed unusually choppy.

lol...reminds me of one Ctrl-Alt-Del (the webcomic) quote:
"He was near my modem. My wood elf runs slower when strange people are near my modem."

When you switched back to the first character, did it slow down again?
How long did it take for the sluggish / laggy feel to kick in?

Actually it was smoother. For example, when playing with my first character, the battles go by fine, no lag or slugginess noticable. When I'm playing with the other character, however, the lag is there, and sometimes when you press a command, the character would just stand there for a second then all of a sudden start fighting again. When just walking, the first character's movement is more smooth as well as the area. With the other character, the movement and was a bit choppy. Sometimes the character just stands there, and all of a sudden, appear back from where I started walking again or go forward. This did not happen as frequently (if at all) with my other characters. And even so, it seems that the other character is the only one that has a constant lag and choppiness. Also, even though it hasn't happened in awhile (and hopefully stopped), this was the only character that had a connection problem (=7 error). It never happened to the other characters. Also, the lag seems to kick in right when I start playing or a little after I start (especially traveling around).
Just in case,
Windows XP
AMD Athlon XP 2500+
Radeon 9600
512 MB RAM
And I run it on auto detect quality, not highest.
